Here I mounted the D7 by using a step ring and an Scopetronix adapter. The D7 lens is here
as close to the eyepiece as it can get, and it still isnīt close enough. I chose to mount the
eyepiece in astronomical position (mirrored image) instead of on the 45 degree prism on the back of
the scope. By placing the camera on top of the scope the torque is minimized on both the
camera lens as well as the eyepiece. Since it is simple to mirror the image in Photoshop
this is not a problem. I use the 45 degree prism and a wide angle eyepiece to aid in
directing the scope, when I want to take a picture I flip the scope mirror and shoot.
